NFC business cards that arrive ready to tap

An NFC business card has a chip inside it. Hold it to a phone and your branded TapIQ profile opens — no app to download, no QR code to scan, and nothing for either person to type.

What an NFC business card is

An NFC business card is a physical card with a chip in it. NFC is the same short-range radio phones already use for contactless payment, so the phone does the reading. Hold the card to a phone and the phone picks it up. There is nothing to pair and nothing to connect first.

On a TapIQ card, what the chip opens is your branded digital profile. One tap on any iPhone or Android, and the profile opens instantly — no app, no QR code, no friction for the prospect. The person you just met installs nothing and types nothing.

That is the point of the object. A paper card puts information in someone's pocket and hopes they remember you. An NFC card puts a live page on their screen while you are still standing in front of them.

What happens after a tap

The tap opens your profile. If the person taps save, TapIQ captures name, email and phone — then runs the record through 50+ data providers in the background. Neither of you fills in a field.

Enrichment is asynchronous. The tap queues the record and the providers answer afterwards, so it takes minutes rather than seconds. Captured instantly, enriched automatically in the background. What populates automatically from a tap is identity, role, firmographics and a lead score.

The lead score is a rule engine — fit points plus engagement points — and it is stored on the contact. It is a score, not a prediction.

Contacts push to Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday.com or GoHighLevel on a queued sync. It is a batched push rather than something that fires the instant a card is tapped, and today it syncs contacts rather than company or account records.

The cards you can order today

TapIQ-branded cards are the option available now. Premium PVC with a standard finish, in three colorways. They ship within 48 hours, individually or in bulk.

Every TapIQ card is NFC-enabled, and every one is programmed to your profile before it ships.

Your card is programmed before it ships

TapIQ cards are ordered inside the app, not from this website. That is deliberate. An order placed on a website is anonymous — whoever fulfils it has no profile to program the chip to, so the card would arrive blank and setting it up would be your job.

Ordering in the app means TapIQ already knows which profile the chip should open, so it is programmed before it ships. No setup, no pairing, no blank card. It works the first time you tap it.

A card that opens a text message instead of a profile

A TapIQ card does not have to open a web page. It can be configured to open a pre-addressed text message instead. That is Tap-to-Text, and it is a behaviour of the card rather than a separate product.

When someone taps a card set up this way, their phone's native SMS app opens a compose screen addressed to your dedicated TapIQ number, with an editable prefilled greeting. Nothing is sent automatically — the tap only prepares a draft on their own device. They decide whether to press send.

If they send it, their carrier-verified number becomes a contact through the same pipeline as any other capture. TapIQ sends one automatic reply back — your greeting, a link to your card and a fixed STOP footer — capped at one reply per visitor per 24 hours.

Setup happens once. You verify your own mobile by text code and get a dedicated US local number matched to your area code. Numbers are US local only, and there is one number per account, attached to one profile. Tap-to-Text is free on every plan.

Getting cards to a team, and where TapIQ is today

Start on the free plan. It gives you one profile, your own Tap-to-Text number and profile analytics, with no credit card. Order cards once your profile is live.

Team plans are flat monthly tiers with seat caps — the pricing section on the homepage carries the current tiers. Cards are ordered in the app on any plan, so every card still ships linked to a profile.

TapIQ is in beta. The services are currently offered as a beta release, and features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued as development continues. Worth knowing before you roll cards out across a whole sales floor.

Common questions

Do people need an app to tap my card?

No. One tap on any iPhone or Android opens your branded profile — no app, no QR code, no friction for the prospect. The person tapping the card installs nothing.

Does an NFC business card work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes. One tap on any iPhone or Android opens the profile. The phone reads the card, so there is nothing to pair or connect beforehand.

How do I order TapIQ NFC cards?

Cards are ordered inside the TapIQ app, not from the website. Create your free profile first, then order in the app — TapIQ knows which profile the chip should open, so it is programmed before it ships.

How quickly do cards ship?

TapIQ-branded cards ship within 48 hours. They come in three colorways on premium PVC with a standard finish, available individually or in bulk.

Can a card text me instead of opening my profile?

Yes. A TapIQ card can be configured to open a text message instead of a web profile. The tap opens the visitor's SMS app addressed to your dedicated TapIQ number with an editable prefilled greeting, and nothing is sent until they choose to send it. US local numbers only, one number per account.
